Again my publication is centered around Jus Rite Records. This particular ad advertises for an "Open Mic" event that my record company is hosting. Because this ad is not very large, I knew I had to say a lot with little space to say it. Overall, I kept the ad simple and straightforward. Again, the color scheme is inspired from the JRecords logo as well as the style of fonts. I feel its important to keep such elements consistent so people start to familiarize themselves with our company and we can further our recognition among the general public, not just artists. This is a very open event where any kind of artist can attend so although the layout is fairly straightforward, there are some artistic components. The "42nd" is a text on a path and the "Open Mic" I used a create outline to put a picture of a mic within the font. The most important message I wanted to convey from this ad is that this open mic event allows artists’ voices to be heard. "Heard" is emphasized with a white outline because we want artists to be able to express themselves and to others their artistic abilities and talents in a opportunistic environment.
